Many of you might have heard me talking about the H²P5 formula lately, either on comments or on my tweets. So are you an H²P5 formula entrepreneur?
H=Hardwork
It’s all about hard work. How badly you need something, how badly do you want to succeed. I believe that the is no shortcut to success. Never mind all those celebrities saying how they made it overnight, it’s all false. They forget to tell you the hard part about how to succeed, they sugar coat the journey in order to make you think you can just close your eyes and succeed. Unfortunately you cannot! As earlier said, the is no substitute to hard work. (Please do tell me, if there is one, I will be happy to hear it.)
H=Honesty
I love watching BBC’s Dragons Den and one of the things I have learned from there is that, most of the time, the Dragons invest in the person and not the idea(sometimes) and usually this people always have something in common “HONESTY”. Honesty is the building block of every relationship, be it business wise or anything else. Honesty also has much to do with credibility. The more honest you are, the more people are willing to trust you with their money or business.
P=Proper P=Preparation P=Prevents
P=Poor P=Performance
If you watch speakers at events, you will notice how they make it seem so easy. Trust me, speaking in public is not easy, you have to deal with the pressure and all the like. But these speakers make it look so easy, so you ask yourself “How do they do it?” The only answer is that they “PREPARE” You cannot succeed in anything unless you prepare. Preparation doesn’t mean, you spend years upon years researching, just a simple preconditioning of the mind about the task ahead is preparation.
So tell me, do you have any rules you go by?
Hey man top work here brother, In the military your 5 P's where the 7 P's for us,
Priory Planning and Preperation, Prevents Pi#@ Poor Performance lol
Thanks man! Yeah in the military its quite the same principle but a lot more stricter. They say "business is war"
Good stuff Martin. I was pumped to see you had a new post. I have been doing a study on entrepreneurs and pitching actually and I have learned about how preparation is a big component to an investors decision to invest in you. You hit it perfect here dude.
Another thing with hard work is that people tend to leave out those hard details. What I have learned is to keep asking questions to get it out of them.
I go by similar rules man. Just keep hammering on. Try to balance time between school, work, and my site, and the gf too of course. Got a formula for time management? ha
Glad to see that you liked it
Am an avid lover of the Dragon's Den (dunno if you know it ) but its a TV show where entrepreneurs pitch to investors in the hope of securing an investment. And what I've learned from there is that only those who PREPARED before hand usually get the investment.
I need to find some time management formula too
That sounds like an awesome show dude. We have something similar called Shark Tank and also Pitchman.
Great post!
I speak professional, as you know, and you're right it isn't easy. But my ability to connect with my audience come from the fact that I work hard at it and have prepared my stuff well.
These are approaches you can take with any area of your life.
Yeah I agree, thanks for the comment. I truly believe in this formula and do not think there is any substitute to it.
I am really NOT H^2P5 Entrepreneur.
I am TAF Entrepreneur: Think & Feel
Yeah I agree not everybody is same. The " Think & Feel " philosophy is another great way to go by being an entrepreneur.
Thanks for the comment.
My rules ?
Love yourself to death and blow everyone away.
In the creative sense of course !
Lol yeah in the creative sense! If you do love what your doing am sure nothing can stop you !
BTW thanks a lot for stopping by, really appreciate it.
